The scariest thing I did was to search the internet for information about Gall Bladder cancer. When my loved one got this diagnosis of course this is the first thing I did.
The statistics are horrible, scary and enough to make you give up right now. When I asked the surgeon about outcome or long-term prognosis, he said he believed in people not statistics. That was a great answer. It tells me that people as individuals count not just the numbers. This has helped me focus just on our situation not look to compare to anyone else or read about all the success or failure stories. Education like anatomy and function I can handle. Statistics and survival rates are not helpful.
